Nothing that has run elsewhere, been AI-spun, or is scheduled to appear on another site. We check.
1,200–2,000 words
Long enough to be genuinely useful, tight enough to read in one sitting. No padding.
First-hand expertise
Write from the chair, the mirror, or real experience — not a reword of page one of Google.
Plain, editorial voice
Clear over clever. Match the tone of our existing guides and skip the jargon.
One relevant author link
You may include a single contextual link to your own non-competing site where it truly helps the reader.
Images you have rights to
Send any photos you own or are licensed to use — ideally horizontal and at least 1,600px wide.
What we can't publish
We turn down more pitches than we accept, almost always for one of these reasons. Steer clear and you're already ahead.

Send two or three headline ideas with a one-line angle for each. Don't write the full draft yet.
Get the green light
If it's a fit, we reply within 3–5 business days with a short brief and a target word count.
Send the draft
Deliver it as a Google Doc or Markdown, with your images and any sources attached.
We edit and publish
You approve the final edit, we schedule it, and you get the live link to share.

Do you pay for guest posts?
We don't pay for contributions at the moment. In return you get a byline, a link to your site, and promotion to an audience that's actively into men's hair and grooming.
Can I include a link to my website?
Yes — one relevant, contextual link in your bio or body copy is fine, as long as it helps the reader and doesn't point to a competing hair site. We don't accept posts written purely to place a link.
How long until I hear back?
We review pitches within 3–5 business days. If you haven't heard from us after a week, you're welcome to follow up once.
What word count are you looking for?
Most published pieces land between 1,200 and 2,000 words. Depth and usefulness matter far more than hitting an exact number.
Do you accept AI-written drafts?
No. We can tell, and so can readers. We only publish work written in your own voice, drawn from real, first-hand knowledge.
Can I republish the post elsewhere later?
We ask that Taper Trends stays the only home for the piece. Keeping it exclusive is what lets it rank and keeps things fair for every contributor.
